Shine a mathematical spotlight on your streets
Join Marcus du Sautoy, mathematician, best-selling author, broadcaster and the Charles Simonyi Professor for the Public Understanding of Science, on a mathematical adventure in the city.
Book a place on a walking tour of Oxford or London, developed by Marcus and the Maths in the City team. These tours will be led by Marcus’ ‘Mathemagicians’, a team of volunteer students from Oxford. Find examples of maths hidden in cities around the world and add your own examples. You can even use this site to create your very own maths walking tours.
The Maths in the City project ran between 2010-12 but the Mathmagicans still run occasional tours on request. Please contact them if you are interested in setting up a one-off tour.
You can also take the tours yourself or run them for your own group
